ŧwΞnty·ỌnΞ

I am an urban bug and i am always on the go to look for cool joints for food and booze.
Resuming from TSB, i droped by Twenty One, Kitchen + Bar to visit some people who was working there.;) The place was cool and staff was very friendly. The food? Its definately good but unless you have a thick wallet and a small appetite, this is the place u want to fancy your date with.

It was a weekday, and not payday so the Bar upstairs was kinda empty. Tourists never fail to show up here as its located in the heart of KL somewhere behind Jalan Alor close to Bukit Bintang. We were there early and the 'flock' came in late at night as we left. ;)

Ahh.. yes, the VIP spot, all for your comfort and privacy when needed with the chillout and R&B music playing 'Chilling' the ambience.. Very cool indeed.

Now the difference bout Bars here and in the UK, is that ITS NOT SELF SERVED~!! therefore no drunk, sweaty male testosterones hoggin the bar to get a pint. But sometimes you do get 'smooched' in the middle of pweety hawt girls. Well I guess thats the trade off gettin stuck with men in the bars.. :)

A view of the entire bar upstairs from the balcony (which is kinda hot, for Msian weather). As you can see behind, check out the cool wall with Bubbles~!!! hehe Generally the design is kinda cool but i really think instead trying to save space the place need chairs which u can lean on.. shees.. Besides that, of all places i`ve been to i`d give this a yes to go place. :)
So hence, anyone who want to drop by here is the add:-
Twenty One Kitchen+Bar
20-1 Changkat Bukit Bintang
50200 Kuala Lumpur
Tel:-603-21420021
More to come, But CLP's coming in two weeks, i`ll try to blog as much as i can. Ahem anybody wanna go there? i`m all free.. haha

What Fuels The World

On top is a photo i took while pumping petrol for my vehicle. I know it was and still is a big 'hoo haa' round the world, with the rising cost of fuel and food (sometimes jst feel like the world is going insane) I didnt really feel the impact till the bill came out a whopping RM140 (bout USD 43) for a 1.8cc car. It used to be RM90 and a 40% increase IMO is jst soemtimes too much.
But hey, things are going crazy ya know.. so instead of thinking of how to milk the cow, think of ways to get more cows... ;)
(will be busy coming 3 weeks guys, sorry if i am MIA or lackof updates)

Telawi Street Bistro, Bangsar~

So you think Malaysia is some food heaven, think again its also where drinks get their local touches. So i heard of a rumour that there was fantastic drinks in TSB or Telawi Street Bistro, Bangsar. Without hessitation i went to my doom blindly.

Right, so for the drinker out there, if you think you're macho or the point-man with your drinking buddies, you just have to try this. Imagine Vodka (which already gives u the burning sensation when u drink it) coupled with chili padi (a.k.a the baddass of Chillis). Yeah, i was suprised when i saw this and regretably after much pleading with my friend for me NOT to drink this i finally got the Balls to take one shot. And, it was a lethal one.. hahahah

Next is this juicy looking snake coupled with some whiskey in a bottle. I refused to drink this, apart from the whiskey i was really afraid that something might turn out wrong. Next maybe i`ll be turned into Snake Man or somethign ;)

Well, i did turn out into something or someone known as THE DRUNK. Hahah, months of fasting from drinking one shot of Chilli Padi from my lovely friend left me burning from the scalp down to my u know what when it comes to nature call. Am not being Sick or something but it does~
Well, at least now i could say i tried it and I`M THE MAN!!! hahahah...
Anyone of you who want to try it should drive down to TSB Bangsar one day. Besides the bar is also serves delicious food for dinner or deserts for supper.
I wanted so much to put my friend's cheeky face when she saw me with my reaction but i decided not to in order to sav myself from further torture from drinks she recommend.. haha ;) THKS SO MUCH SIM~!! >P

Hit the Streets~

Right outside the Annexure, painters and artists doing what they do best.

I have to say, i have one of my pictures drawn here and it was good. But it aint cheap ;)

This is what we call 'wayang kulit' or what u may know as pupetry shot, just that these actually use beautifully cut papers in the form of living or mythical beings.
I think it originated in Kelantan, Malaysia and its sadly one of those heritage which is dissapearing. Maybe, one day i`ll just travel down to Kelantan and watch the show myself.

Now these are the handcarved pupets (supposingly that they are) which are sometimes used in pupet shows. Check out the colours of their garments and the details, its just awesome.

Now i know the West have Easter, and eggs cost very cheap during the celebration. Still remember missed my 1 quid per carton of eggs shopping spree ;).. and yes, in Msia we have coloured eggs too. Probably derived from the Easter idea too.. Well i dont really get what the Bunny and the Eggs got to do with Easter? hmm...

Well, i managed to get some picture inside Central Market. There are just loads of shops ranging from handicraft items to really expensive tourist souveniers.. hahaha.. and it was a Thursday so i guess there wasnt many people around.

Everytime i see singers on the streets, i never fail to be amazed how they can stand singing and singing for hours~! Was sitting there for 2 hours he never stop singing and ended up with my RM3, pity but hey GET A JOB. I remember when i was in the busy London tube station (forgot which stop) i heard this really good strong voice like Lois Armstrong i swear echoing throught the walls of the tube. It was rush hour then, i tried to look for that guy but sadly there was JUST TOO MANY PEOPLE~!!!! man wish i had bought a cd from him..
(above pictures are all Photoshop-ed into my Street sytle colours or Lomo-ed)
