The River Kwai and Kanchanaphuri Tiger Temple~

This was one of the longest and furthest destination we travelled while our stay in BKK. First it was River Kwai, where it was famous for the brutal killings and slavery by (i forgot which country) of P.O.Ws. It isnt anythign much today except that it was full with stores for tourist and stuff. But it did felt good to visit such a place where history took place.
Next it was Kanchanaphuri where my friend told me that the tigers roam freely around the temple. I did saw this on discovery and i really wanted to visit. But, ahha i think i was just too afriad to touch them and or leave all my gears around as there was strict dresscodes and stuff for you to touch them.

Yours Truely

Still Life in Kanchanaphuri Tiger Temple.

Love of men and beasts.

Baby Tiger

Huge ass tiger.
Hope you noticed there wasnt any cages of any sort of restraint between you and the tigers. It was said that they are fed meat without the stench of blood, which curbs their hunger to hunt livestock or humans. I dont know whether my facts are correct, but it was really fun to see a tiget up close, minus all the walking under the hot sun.

Floating Market Dumnoen Sadauk, Snake Farm~

The next day we travelled bout 300km to the all famous Floating Marker which is in Sadauk. Its my 3rd time here and i still love to go there again.
This is one of the pictures taken back in Feb 08, and it was on a weekend where it was much more busier compared to the weekday we were there. People was selling tropical fruits running all the way to souveniers. busy busy busy.

So this time i was back there again trying to capture the Floating market at a different perspective. From afar, i thought the locals travel there way we do in the market, but i was suprised that actually a large peice of styrofoam could do the job just nice. The lady was smiling at me cause she saw that i was quite amazed how 2 person could float on that thing.

Coconut anyone?

Bananas?
There were tourists around all year long, and this time i got halted by this particular group so i could snap thier photo. Sporting, cute and fun.

Everydays job.
Contented.

Now, i asked aroudn why are there these things in front of each and every boat. And as i suspected, its for luck because superstition usually runs in their believes.

Souveniers.
Next, we stoped by the snake farm just for fun since we havent been there for bout a decade. It does seem like it has been a long time my friend has seen an elephant.. ;)

Big ass comodo dragon.

Fearless eyes.

I gotcha... hahahaha..and yes it did bit him. Luckily he was okay, i dont think the snake was poisonous. And i never really thought snakes could leap off the ground and bite. YuckS~

The Haps and the Mishaps~

Mishaps of the day, SW got ill in a foreign country. Sucks big time for travellin'

Well we left him in the hotel to rest up while me and my friend continued exploring the city in the night and for some food.Thats MBK or Ma Boh Kong somewhat like Sungai Wang of KL only, ITS REALLY HUGE~!!Some breakdancers on the street, kinda mimicking the street dance cultures i see in Europe.

We asked our 'limo' driver to drop us off some nice local food joints. Food was good, price was crazy cheap. And Thai eat Chillis like cornflakes. ahaha.

One of the local dishes where the fishes are grilled with salt to bring out the sweetness of the fish meat. Was really tasty thou and cheap.

The cook who almost burn my camera.

Ended the nite finger lickin' good.:)
